- Preparing K-12 Students to Meet their Data: Analyzing the Tools and Environments used in Introductory Data Science Contexts As data science tools rapidly evolve, they play a critical role in shaping learning experiences. This review of 25 K-12 tools highlights what works and where new opportunities lie.
- A Mixed Methods Approach to Understanding the Public Health Impact of a School-Based Citizen Science Program to Reduce Arsenic in Private Well Water Students collected and analyzed over 3,000 well water samples for toxic metals, uncovering widespread arsenic contamination and raising awareness about water quality and treatment systems in their communities. Tuva supported the project by providing data tools that helped students organize, explore, and communicate their findings to public health agencies and local residents.
