Although often only used in the Explore or Explain phase, data can be integrated into every phase of the 5E instructional model. Through hands-on activities and discussions we will explore ways to more effectively integrate data across all of the 5Es to support students content understanding and data skills development. Whether all your lessons are organized around the 5E model or you are 5E-curious, come join us as we explore and discuss key aspects of helping our students build their data skills as they actively construct their content understanding. ##### Workshop Objectives: Following the end of the workshop, participants will be able to... 1. Identify how to use data in each of the E’s. 2. Plan how to adapt a 5E lesson, or unit, to incorporate data and Tuva across the learning experiences. ;;br ##### Workshop Format: Through hands-on activities and reflective discussions we will interactively explore various datasets and data-based activities within Tuva as common learning experiences together to explore ways to integrate data into and across all components of the 5E instructional model. Additionally, we will build off of our own experiences in the classroom to share lessons learned and brainstorm alternative options around helping our students use data throughout our 5E lesson plans, rather than just in one component. ##### Workshop Materials: * [Data and the 5E Instructional Model](https://support.tuvalabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002823814-Data-and-the-5E-Instructional-Model) ;;br *Reference: Bybee, Rodger W., Joseph A.
