[L2] How Do We Spend Our Day
Practice
Lesson 2 to practice on equivalent fraction by exploring fraction of time spent by children doing different activities. CC Standard: 4.NF.A.1: Explain why a fraction a/b is equivalent to a fraction (n × a)/(n × b) by using visual fraction models, with attention to how the number and size of the parts differ even though the two fractions themselves are the same size. Use this principle to recognize and generate equivalent fractions. Practice Lesson 2 Context: How Do We Spend Our Day! How Do We Spend Our Day! Every day, children divide their time between sleeping, going to school, playing, and doing other activities. Even though their schedules may look different, some parts of their day can actually represent the same amount of time. In this lesson, you will use fractions to describe these parts of the day and discover equivalent fractions — different fractions that name the same amount of time. Click Next to begin!
