Standard Error of the Mean (v2)
Lesson
Standard Error of the Mean When you calculate a mean from a sample, that value is only an estimate of the true population mean. Different samples from the same population can give slightly different means. The Standard error of the mean helps describe how much a sample mean is likely to vary from the true population mean. On Tuva, you can visualize this variation directly and explore how sample size affects the reliability of an estimate. [---cta ⚡ Ready to practice?
