Using the Mean, Median, & Mode on Tuva (v2)
Lesson
In this tutorial, students explore the Dinosaurs dataset to learn how to calculate and visualize the Mean, Median, and Mode on Tuva.
Using the Mean, Median, & Mode on Tuva When working with numerical data, an important question is: What value best represents the distribution? Measures of center summarize a dataset using a single number, but each measure defines “typical” differently. Tuva’s Mean, Median, and Mode tools let you display these measures directly on a graph. By placing them on the distribution, you can see how each one responds to the shape of the data rather than treating them as isolated calculations. [---cta ⚡ Ready to practice?
