Shapes of Distributions
Lesson
In the previous lesson, you worked with distributions of data to identify extreme values, put the data into buckets using dividers, and looked for patterns in the distribution. In this lesson, you will study an important characteristic of a distribution—its shape. The shape of a distribution can be described by the number of peaks it has and how the data points are clustered along the axis. Shape of a Distribution In this lesson, you will: Describe the shape of distributions Differentiate between symmetrical and assymetrical distributions Identify left skewed and right skewed distributions Describe what the shape of a distribution tells you about the data
