Dot Plots
Lesson
In the previous lesson, you learned about bar charts and their uses. When you order the bars after putting a quantitative attribute on an axis, Tuva bar graphs can be used to identify extreme values and compare values within a group. You saw that when you put a categorical attribute on one axis and a quantitative attribute on the other axis, they can be used to make quick comparisons between categories of a small group. In this lesson, you will learn how to create, read, and interpret dot plots, and how to use them for analysis. A Tuva dot plot can be used to display both categorical and quantitative attributes. Dot Plot In this lesson, you will: Create dot plots of categorical variables Create dot plots of quantitative variables Read and interpret dot plots Compare groups using dot plots
