Creating a Distribution of Sample Statistics (v2)
Lesson
In this tutorial, students explore the Census at School dataset to draw multiple random samples and to create a distribution of the statistics they collect from those samples.
Creating a Distribution of Sample Statistics When we generate many random samples and compute a statistic (such as the mean) for each one, we can graph those statistics to see how they vary. This graph is called a Distribution of Sample Statistics. Tuva allows you to simulate this process using the Sampling Card. You choose the sample size, number of samples, and the statistic, and Tuva automatically computes and graphs the results. [---cta ⚡ Ready to practice?
