Traveling Time to School (GAISE II Level B)
Data Story
In this lesson, students will use dot plots, box plots, and histograms to describe distributions and answer the investigative question: How long does it typically take our classmates to travel to school?
River Run Middle School is considering adjusting the start time of the school day to better accommodate how long it takes students to travel to school. If students typically take longer than 20 minutes to get to school, then the committee will consider making the start time of the school day later. In order to make their decision, they collected data from one class period of students to answer their investigative question: How long does it typically take students to travel to school?
