Look At That Star
Data Story
How can we look at stars and tell the life cycle story? In this activity, you will examine different graphs of star measurements and identify questions the particular graph can or can’t help answer.
Welcome to this Tuva data story! In the effort to understand our galaxy and our universe, astronomers make measurements with specialized telescopes, looking for patterns and ways to categorize what they can “see." Their graphs can be complicated, trying to tell the story of our universe, but the graphs are carefully designed to answer different questions. In this activity, you will examine different graphs of star measurements and identify questions the particular graph can help answer. Bear in mind that different kinds of graphs help answer different kinds of questions. Refer to the Graph Choice Chart if you need guidance. Click Next to begin!
