How Does Sandy Compare?
Data Story
Compare Sandy to other 2012 hurricanes via two weather properties.
Welcome to this Tuva data story! In 2012, Superstorm Sandy was a powerful and intense storm in many ways. By the time it made landfall in New Jersey, Hurricane Sandy had combined with a nor'easter storm to make it a “superstorm." Was the intensity of Superstorm Sandy different from other hurricanes in 2012? One way to look at this is to look at the relationship between wind speed and air pressure during all of the 2012 hurricanes. Were wind speeds and air pressure readings during Superstorm Sandy similar to readings for other hurricanes in 2012, or were they very different? In this data story, you will compare Sandy to other 2012 hurricanes. Click Next to get started!
